goliaths of ideas

Dream Abstract: Was in India with my wife (never been there in real life) and we were walking around a dry river bed. I wanted to find an interesting stone to take back with me. There was a blue one I had seen minutes earlier, but never relocated. My wife made a comment that she wondered if we were close to the Indian Ocean, but I highly doubted it. It was getting dark, like how it has been at the Macbride Raptor Center, with the thick darkness in the trees, like Bob Ross painting it, up in seconds. We returned and the little Indian children were running around playing and our rental jeep was full of junk from our trip: maps, clothing, and food.

Then I woke up to hit snooze on the alarm. I was in a sculpture class in India and an instructor from The University of Iowa was giving the written exam. I think that I did well on it, but of course cannot recall any of the questions. I just remember heading off to another class or something and remembering that I didn't turn in the responses, so I found her and submitting the paperwork, then woke up once more to the alarm.

I have a feeling that this India was inspired by two things. One was a story about a trip to India by a friend who went there, and also by a friend who told me on Saturday that he wants to visit India in about a year. I don't foresee any grand trips there, but the thought of finding a stone with a history is intriguing.
