is this thing plugged in?
I was thinking about how for me, many of my dreams recur in related places, such as a neighborhood based loosely off of my childhood, or revolve around related topics, such as sculpture.
I wonder if anyone else shares these patterns?
I've experienced work in a sculpture class that I haven't had in real life. I felt hounded to do something about this after the trend continued from before art school, during art school, and then following my graduation. This led me to real life in which I have sought out and actually found someone to help. I have begun a sculpture apprenticeship. I don't know what to expect and I hope to have the time to commit to working dilligently and opening up new creative paths.
What's been haunting most of my waking hours aside from work, the wife, the dog, is the work on my on-line presence, that is, my portfolio. There always seems to be something more I can do to make it better, and in so doing, my hope is, to improve myself. The balance between creativity and technical know-how plays back and forth with the learning curve and experience.
Part of me wants to chuck the whole thing and the rest of me continues forward.
